Water
Industrial Effluents
Our own wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), as well as hydrocarbon separators and settling tanks, receive and treat wastewater so that it can be returned to the environment in compliance with legislated quality standards.
In addition to cleaning the infrastructure supporting the treatment of industrial effluents, with environmentally appropriate disposal of oily waters, the wastewater is periodically analyzed by accredited laboratories to assess and ensure the quality of the discharged effluents.
Exterior train washing is preferably carried out at automatic washing gantries, with water recycling and wastewater treatment systems in place.
Telemetry Applied to Water Consumption
Monitoring water consumption using telemetry allows for active detection of water leaks, helps reduce losses of this scarce resource, and enables the identification of anomalies in the supply network for much faster repairs.
In its first year of operation, this system enabled an 8.7% reduction in water consumption at our facilities, corresponding to 6,607 m³ less water used. In 2024, the saving was 3.6%.
