Under paragraph 1 of Article 13 of Decree-Law No. 83/2018, of 19 October, any person with a disability who is treated less favourably than another person in a comparable situation may lodge a complaint on the grounds of discriminatory practice.
The National Institute for Rehabilitation (INR, I.P.) provides a complaint form to report discrimination, forwarding cases to the competent authorities. Each year, INR prepares a report on the implementation of Law No. 46/2006, of 28 August, which prohibits and penalises discrimination on the grounds of disability and aggravated health risk.
