Pilot project to evaluate satellite internet technology on CP rail services.

CP is testing the use of satellite internet technology (Starlink) to complement terrestrial mobile networks to provide Wi-Fi on its trains. The pilot project aims to assess the potential of this solution to ensure more stable and continuous connectivity, particularly in areas where mobile coverage is limited.

The initiative enables CP to analyse the technology’s performance in the field, helping to identify solutions that can improve passengers’ digital experience while travelling.
