Assessment of the use of renewable fuel in CP diesel rolling stock.

The HVO100 initiative involves conducting trials with renewable fuel from sustainable sources in CP diesel rolling stock. The aim is to assess the feasibility of its use as an alternative to conventional fuels, thereby helping to reduce the environmental footprint of rail operations.

Produced from renewable raw materials, HVO100 has the potential to reduce emissions associated with rail operations while retaining compatibility with existing equipment, thereby accelerating the transition towards more sustainable mobility.

Through this project, CP is reinforcing its commitment to the decarbonisation of rail transport and to the adoption of solutions that contribute to national and European sustainability targets.
