Higher Technical – Finance Department - Entroncamento

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Technician to join the Entroncamento Unit within the Finance Department. The role involves monitoring and controlling accounts payable and receivable processes, analysing and optimising invoicing, collection and payment workflows and using SAP tools to support these activities. We are looking for a professional with strong analytical skills, a focus on continuous process improvement and the ability to collaborate with different areas of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and monitor accounts payable and receivable processes;
- Ensure periodic reconciliations and the settlement of balances;
- Identify key suppliers in the maintenance sector and monitor electronic invoicing;
- Analyse budgeting, invoicing and collection processes, and identify critical issues and opportunities for improvement;
- Post supplier documents (invoices and invoice correction documents) to the SAP system in the MM and FI modules;
- Collaborate with the Maintenance, Logistics and Procurement departments to resolve outstanding issues;
- Monitor daily invoicing processes in SAP, ensuring that the relevant invoices are issued and that legal and contractual requirements are met;
- Assist with the maintenance of master data for customers, materials and invoicing;
- Act as a key user for accounts receivable processes, implement price lists in systems and participate in testing of the SAP SD module;
- Carry out other duties relating to third-party accounting.
Essential Requirements
- A degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics or Accounting.
Skills
- Solid knowledge of financial accounting, taxation, management, and budget planning and control;
- Good knowledge of SAP, particularly the FI, MM, SD and DMS modules;
- Knowledge of electronic invoicing processes via EDI and the ability to read XML
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook);
- Good knowledge of English and Spanish (spoken and written);
- Good analytical skills, logical reasoning and a critical mindset;
- Attention to detail;
- Good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities;
- Good problem-solving skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
