Up to 80% off Alfa Pendular tickets

CP launches campaign to promote cheaper and more sustainable travel.

CP is launching a campaign offering discounts of up to 80% on Alfa Pendular tickets to promote more accessible and sustainable travel and encourage greater use of rail transport in the country. In total, 5,000 seats will be available for convenient and speedy travel between the country’s major cities under this special offer, whether for work or leisure.
The discount will apply exclusively to tickets purchased online via CP’s digital channels (website and app) between 22 April and 6 May 2026.

The ‘Promo+’ campaign applies to tickets for journeys between 1 and 15 May 2026, with this special price limited to 5,000 seats on Alfa Pendular trains, covering both Conforto and Turística classes.

With this discount, for example, tickets will cost €7.50 to travel between Lisbon and Porto or €5.50 for journeys between Lisbon and Faro (Turística class). To be eligible for the campaign, these tickets must be purchased at least 10 days in advance, and the offer is limited and subject to the availability of seats reserved for this promotion.

CP hopes this campaign will boost brand awareness and attract even more passengers to its premium service. This is yet another step by the company towards promoting green, safe and accessible mobility for the Portuguese public, highlighting the train as a good alternative to private transport, whether for work or leisure.

The Alfa Pendular train is operated by CP’s 4000 series electric multiple units, which feature active tilting technology and can travel at up to 220 km/h. These trains consist of six coaches, offering 301 seats in total.
