Caminho das Camboas Cycle Path
This cycle route is less than one kilometre long and runs along Avenida do Campo do Castelo in Vila Praia de Âncora, staying close to the sea allowing you to enjoy the sea air and a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean. It is connected to the Foz do Rio Âncora cycle path and features points of interest such as the Lagarteira Fort, the fishing harbour, Vila Praia de Âncora beach and the Chapel of Senhora da Bonança. It is accessible from Vila Praia de Âncora station.
Foz do Rio Âncora Cycle Path
Accessible from Vila Praia de Âncora station, starting next to the Vila Praia de Âncora fishing harbour and ending near the viaduct under the Minho line, this nature trail is almost a kilometre long and features points of interest such as Lagarteira Fort, the picnic area at the mouth of the River Âncora, the fishing harbour, Vila Praia de Âncora Beach, Dr Ramos Pereira Park and the River Âncora Estuary.
Cristelo Eco-trail
Sheltered by the Camarido National Forest and stretching for 1,500 metres, this eco-trail connects Caminha to Moledo. Its points of interest include the Monte de Santo Antão and Fraga viewpoints, and the beaches of Moledo and the mouth of the River Minho, and it is accessible from Senhora da Agonia station.
Foz do Minho Beach Eco-trail
A one-kilometre riverside trail runs along the mouth of the River Minho to the edge of the Camarido National Forest, starting next to the EN13 national road and ending near the river beach at the mouth of the River Minho. The landscape comprises the River Minho estuary and the Camarido National Forest, with points of interest including the beach at the mouth of the River Minho, Ínsua Fort, the Fraga and Boa Vista viewpoints, and the Caminha fortified complex. The eco-trail is accessible by train from the Senhora da Agonia or Caminha stations.
Minho River-Lanhelas Eco-trail
Starting at the northern boundary of the municipality of Caminha and following the banks of the River Minho, this eco-trail is just over a kilometre long and passes through agricultural areas characterised by the diversity of local flora and fauna, as well as by the traditional boats that sail on the River Minho. It is accessible from Esqueiro station.
Minho River – Seixas Eco-trail
Stretching for around two kilometres, this route connects the parishes of Seixas and Lanhelas along the banks of the River Minho. Accessible by train from Seixas station, this eco-trail offers a unique view of the River Minho estuary, with key points of interest including the Cais de Seixas Picnic Area, the Seixas River Recreation Area and the Fauna and Flora Observation Area.
Sargaceiro Trail Ecovia
Running alongside the sea front for almost two kilometres, this route forms part of the Atlantic Eco-trail and connects Moledo do Minho to Vila Praia de Âncora. Its points of interest include the Chapel of Santo Isidoro, Moledo Beach and the Sino dos Mouros Viewpoint, and it is accessible from Moledo station.
Santo Isidoro Ecovia
Accessible from Moledo station and stretching for about 2 kilometres, this route links the parishes of Moledo and Vila Praia de Âncora along the coastline. It begins at Moledo Beach and ends next to the Chapel of Santo Isidoro. In addition to the dune landscape, the route offers a unique experience of contact with nature, stretching along the rocky coast and providing an unrivalled view of the Santa Tecla hill (Spain).
