Temporary alterations to the Celta international service from 17 August

As of 17 August 2025, temporary adjustments will be implememade to the Celta international service.

From that date, the route between Porto - Campanhã and Viana do Castelo will be covered by UTE 2240 electric multiple units, while the UTD 592 multiple units will remain on the Viana do Castelo - Vigo route.

This is an exceptional and temporary measure, with no trains being cancelled. The service will be maintained with the introduction of a change at Viana do Castelo.

The solution makes it possible to ensure that the Celta service will continue, along with the mobility of the population and minimising operational impacts.

CP will monitor the situation with RENFE, the partner of this international service, providing all the necessary clarifications and monitoring the effects of this measure.
