International train ticket sales

See where you can buy tickets for international train journeys.

In addition to the CP ticket offices with international sales, you can buy tickets for the Celta international train via the RENFE (Spanish railway network) website.

Tickets can be purchased for Adults, Children, Youths < 26 years and Seniors ≥ 60 years, for a maximum of 9 people travelling together.
Tickets can be purchased up to 15 minutes before the train departs from the passenger's station of origin.
The printed ticket must be presented on the train so passengers must print the tickets in colour or black and white, in portrait format and normal print size (100%), on an A4 sheet.
In the case of tickets purchased for more than one person, one ticket must be printed
per person.
Tickets can be refunded and exchanged (change of class or date of travel) via the RENFE website, provided the fare allows it and up to 15 minutes before the train starts its journey.

As part of the protection and safety measures for passengers travelling internationally, tickets for the Celta train will now be nominal, so passengers will have to provide the following personal data:

Identification document number;
Name and surname;
Telephone contact.

Tickets for international trains are sold through a sales system owned and managed exclusively by the Spanish Railways (RENFE).
Although the tickets can be bought at CP sales outlet, the personal data is provided by the Holder directly to RENFE, with CP not holding any personal data, nor is there any consequent transmission of data between the two railway companies.
The lawful basis for the collection and processing of personal data collected by Renfe is Royal Decree-Law 21/2020 of 9 June, which regulates urgent prevention, containment and coordination measures to deal with the health crisis caused by Covid-19. This Royal Decree-Law obliges passenger transport companies, with seat reservations, to collect contact information from all passengers in order to provide these lists to the public health authorities, when necessary, for contact tracing purposes.
