Veteran pass

The pass is free for veterans.

Under the measures defined within the framework of the Former Combatant Statute, a free public transport pass has been implemented for all veterans who hold a veteran's card and for veterans' widows and widowers.
Passes for Veterans are loaded onto the following cards, depending on the region and type of pass chosen:

Lisbon Metropolitan Area: Navegante Card;
Porto Metropolitan Area: Andante Card ;
Other Intermunicipal Communities: CP Card.

When topping up or applying for the pass, the applicant bears the cost of the card but not the pass.
These passes are valid for 12 months and need to be renewed annually on presentation of the documentation.

Intermodal pass Lisbon - Navegante and Porto - Andante:

Navegante Metropolitano or Andante Metropolitano pass, over the age of 65 - free;
Municipal Navegante or Municipal Andante Pass, under the age of 65 - free, for the municipality of tax residence;
Navegante Metropolitano or Andante Metropolitano passes, under 65 years of age, cost €10.00.
CP passes - Regional, Coimbra Urban and Porto Urban:
- Free of charge up to a maximum of 32 kilometres from the station serving the customer's residence;
- If the beneficiary wants a higher value ticket, they must pay the price difference.

Requisition and purchase of the Navegante card;
Fill in the request form for the Veteran Pass;
Civil and Tax Identification Documents;
Veteran's Card or Veteran's widow(er)'s card;
Tax residence certificate issued by the Tax Authority.

Veterans aged 65 and over with valid Lisboa Viva or Navegante cards should go to the Customer Assistance Offices in Cais do Sodré or Rossio with the relevant documents to change their profile.
Veterans under 65 must apply for a new card at any CP ticket office, handing in the application form and respective documents, the card costs €7.00.
Monthly passes for veterans can be topped up at any CP ticket office or the new vending machines installed in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.
Opening hours of the Rossio and Cais do Sodré Customer Assistance Offices and the Ticket Offices on the Azambuja/Sintra Line, Cascais Line and Sado Line.

Fill in the request form for Veteran Pass;
Civil and Tax Identification Documents;
Veteran's Card or Veteran's Widow(er)'s Card;
Tax residence certificate issued by the Tax Authority.

You can apply for the benefit at an Andante shop, CP ticket office with Andante sales, or at Andante points of sale in the municipalities. The card costs €6.00.
The monthly top-up can be made at a vending machine in Metro do Porto and CP stations, or at one of the many Payshop agents.

The benefit must be applied for at a CP ticket office, the card costs €6.00.
The card can be topped up monthly at any CP ticket office or the new Automatic Vending Machines in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.
