Lisbon urban train tickets

These can be purchased from ticket offices and vending machines and are loaded onto the reusable Navegante card, which costs €0.50.  

The card allows you to top up only one type of ticket at a time, i.e. you can't top up new tickets until the previous one has been used up. 

At any station, you can purchase your ticket for travel on the Sintra, Cascais, Azambuja, and Sado lines at the ticket office or vending machine before boarding.

Every time you make a journey, you must validate your ticket. The journey will be valid from the date and time of validation. 

This ticket is loaded onto the Navegante Occasional card and is valid for a single holder. The rechargeable Navegante card costs €0.50, which is added to the price of the 10-journey ticket, and is valid for 1 year.

Pre-paid ticket for use on CP, Carris, Metro de Lisboa, Transtejo/Soflusa, Fertagus, Metro Sul do Tejo, Transportes Sul do Tejo and Transportes Coletivos do Barreiro. 

It can be loaded onto the Navegante Occasional card and is valid for a single holder.  

The value of the journey is deducted from the card balance, depending on the fare and conditions of use at each operator. 

If you have loaded a monthly ticket and a Zapping ticket onto your Navegante Card, the Zapping journey will only be validated and discounted if the monthly ticket is not valid at the station where it is validated. 

How to use it

To use Zapping on CP, validate your card at a validator or access channel, and €2.00 will be deducted from your card balance. 

Once validated, you can travel on any route and in any direction an unlimited number of times for 90 minutes, but you can end the journey within the next half hour, and you cannot re-enter stations or trains. 

By validating the €2.00 amount, you can make transfers exclusively within Lisbon's urban services for 90 minutes.  

To check the balance of your card, insert it into the designated device in the vending machines or at any ticket office. 

How to top up

• The minimum amount to top up is €3 and the maximum amount is €40; 
• The possible top-ups at the ticket offices and vending machines of the Lisbon urban trains are: €3, €5, €10, €15, €20, €25, €30, €35 and €40; 
• The maximum value that can be accumulated on any card is €40; 
• No amounts other than those indicated will be topped up, in particular intermediate amounts or top-ups in cents; 
• Also available for ATM top-up.

This ticket (Link to P256) is integrated with Metropolitano de Lisboa and Carris. It is valid on CP, Lisbon Urban Trains (Sintra/Azambuja, Cascais, and Sado Lines), for 24 hours after the first validation of the ticket on one of the included transports.  

On CP, in the last 30 minutes of validity, you can only leave the stations.  

The ticket must be validated for each journey on CP, Carris and Metropolitano de Lisboa.

All-in-one ticket between CP and Scotturb, ideal for tourist trips.  

This ticket allows access to the main points of interest in Sintra. It is valid for CP's Sintra and Azambuja lines (between Alcântara-Terra and Oriente), as well as Scotturb's 434 (Sintra station - Pena Palace) and 435 (Sintra station - Monserrate Palace) routes. 

How to use: The ticket is valid for an unlimited number of journeys, to be used on the day it was purchased, until the last train or bus.  

This ticket is loaded onto the Navegante card and is valid for a single holder. The Navegante reusable card costs €0.50, plus the ticket price, and is valid for one year.
