Pó wine circuit

Through the Sado region by train.

Fernando Pó's Terras do Sado is on the way to the Alentejo and easily accessible by train. It offers excellent conditions for a tourist programme that allows you to get to know all the traditions of the wine production process in the Sado region.
Organisation: Casa Ermelinda Freitas, Fernão Pó Adega, Filipe Palhoça Vinhos and Rota de Vinhos da Península de Setúbal. 
Support: Palmela Town Council.

  • Group welcome at the Fernando Pó station; 
  • Guided walk through the vineyard garden with Filipe Palhoça Vinhos, followed by a guided visit to the winery for a Setúbal Moscatel tasting; 
  • Guided tour of Fernão Pó Winery, with wine tasting and a cheese and jam board; 
  • Typical lunch with local soup at Casa Ermelinda de Freitas, followed by wine tasting and a guided tour of the winery and the ‘Memories and Affections’ museum centre. 
     

 

Thursday:

  • 09:02 - Departure by Intercidades from Lisbon Oriente;
  • 10:01 - Arrival at Fernando Pó station*;
  • 17:38 - Departure from Fernando Pó station by Intercidades train.

* Stop only for this programme. 

Saturday: 

  • 09:58 - Departure by Intercidades from Lisbon Oriente; 
  • 10:53 - Arrival at the Fernando Pó station; 
  • 17:38 - Departure from Fernando Pó station by Intercidades train. 

The price includes the train, transfers, experiences, guide and personal accident insurance and a specialised guide to accompany the programme from Lisbon Oriente and back. 

  • Adult - €99.90; 
  • Child (4 to 12 years old) - €51.50. 

As long as they don't occupy a seat on the train, children under the age of 4 can use the transport and programme free of charge. 
Programme subject to a minimum of 20 participants.
