Move-C – Intermodal Mobility in the Coimbra Region
From 1 October 2026, CP will become part of the intermodal system, alongside SMTUC, SIT Metropolitano and MetroBus.
Move-C allows passengers to use different transport operators with a single ticket, depending on the geographical area covered.

Move-C allows passengers to use different transport operators with a single ticket, depending on the geographical area covered.
Move-C is the Coimbra Region’s intermodal transport system, managed by AGIT – Agency for the Management of the Coimbra Region’s Intermodal System. (in English and Portuguese)
It allows passengers to travel with integrated transport operators, within the purchased mode of transport, using a single ticketing system.
The Move-C Card is the medium used to load Move-C travel tickets.
Monthly and single-journey tickets are available, with different validity periods and geographical coverage within the Coimbra Region:
- Municipal – Journeys undertaken entirely within a single municipality;
- Intermunicipal – Journeys undertaken between two neighbouring municipalities;
- Regional – Journeys undertaken across three or more municipalities.
To use the various integrated operators, you must hold a valid Move-C ticket.

MOVE-C intermodal tickets can be used on services operated by the following operators within the system:
- SMTUC – Coimbra Municipal Urban Transport Services;
- SIT Metropolitano;
- Metrobus – Mondego Mobility System.
- CP – Comboios de Portugal: the Move-C Monthly Pass is valid on Coimbra urban trains and on regional and interregional services, exclusively on the routes and at the stations covered by the Move-C system and in accordance with the type of pass purchased.
On Coimbra Urban Trains, the system covers journeys between Figueira da Foz and Coimbra-B.
The Move-C monthly pass also covers regional services on the North, Oeste, and Beira Alta lines within the Move-C area:- North line: Mealhada <> Coimbra B <> Simões;
- Oeste line: Louriçal <> Figueira da Foz / Coimbra B;
- Beira Alta line: Mortágua <> Coimbra B.

All passes allow for unlimited journeys during their period of validity, on all operators and within the area covered by the pass.
The Move-C Monthly Pass is valid from the first to the last day of the month.
Customers may also benefit from discounts and free travel in certain situations, such as the Youth discount, Circula PT and War Veterans’ discount.

Pre-purchased
A pre-purchased ticket allows you to make an unlimited number of journeys within the category purchased during its validity period:
- Municipal: 90 minutes – €1;
- Intermunicipal: 120 minutes – €2;
- Regional: 150 minutes – €3.
1-, 3- and 7-day tickets
These tickets allow you to make unlimited journeys within the category purchased during their respective validity periods.
The 1-, 3- and 7-day passes are valid for 24, 72 and 168 hours, respectively, from the first validation.

CP does not sell Move-C intermodal travel cards.
Passengers must carry out the first top-up in person at a point of sale operated by SMTUC, SIT Metropolitano or Metro Mondego.
