INTRA_RAIL XCape and XPlore

• INTRA_RAIL can be used by young people between the ages of 12 and 30 inclusive;
• Depending which one you buy, it is valid for 3 days (XCape) or 7 days (XPlore):
• The INTRA_RAIL card is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase;
• At the time of sale, the customer's name and expiry date will be entered;
• When you use it for the first time, you must activate your INTRA_RAIL card at CP stations (or on the train if the station is closed) and/or at Youth Hostels. At the time of activation, the start and end date of use will be entered on the card;
• To get a discount on the purchase of INTRA_RAIL with the E.Y.C. Youth Card, present your card (valid at the time of purchase and during the period of use) and the bearer must be the same: that of the Youth Card and that of INTRA_RAIL. Your name will be printed on the card, making it personal and non-transferable;
• The INTRA_RAIL cannot be refunded or changed, nor the journeys to which it entitles you.

If any of the above requirements are not met (the INTRA_RAIL card is not activated or has erasures on it, the cardholder is someone else, the train ticket is not valid) you will be considered a passenger without a ticket and will be charged the associated penalties.

• The INTRA_RAIL card is not a ticket. You must always request your train ticket in advance at a ticket office by showing your INTRA_RAIL card and identification document (ID card or driving licence);
• Exceptionally, you can request your ticket on board if the ticket office is closed;
• To travel on Lisbon's urban trains, you must validate the Navegante card, which was given to you with your INTRA_RAIL. No other ticket should be loaded onto the Navegante card, from CP or another Operator, until the INTRA_RAIL card expires. 
• During the train journey, whenever requested, you must present the INTRA_RAIL card and your identification document, accompanied by the ticket issued for the journey you are making;
• At Fertagus: on presentation of the valid INTRA_RAIL card, you also get a discount on Fertagus railway services.

• INTRA_RAIL is valid at Youth Hostels in Portugal, except: Arrifana, Braga, Serra da Estrela, Setúbal and Viseu;
• Book in advance and confirm the availability of your accommodation at the Youth Hostels by calling 707 233 233 or reservas@pousadasjuventude.pt;
• When booking, state that you have INTRA_RAIL and your card number;
• INTRA_RAIL entitles you to a stay in a multiple room and breakfast. You can opt for a double room, as long as you pay the excess.

• INTRA_RAIL XCape (3 days) - €64.00;
• INTRA_RAIL XPlore (7 days) - €146.00.

Price with Youth Card

• INTRA_RAIL XCape (3 days) - €58.00;
• INTRA_RAIL XPlore (7 days) - €127.00.

  If you want to buy your INTRA_RAIL in a location not served by one of the above-mentioned stations, you can contact us via Group Travel Information and Booking, giving us your name, the type you want (XCape or XPlore), the start/end date of the journey and the station for purchase and collection, at least 3 working days before the day you request it and the day you want to collect it.
