Where and How can I use the Green Rail Pass?

This allows you to travel on any regional, interregional or Coimbra urban train route in 2nd class on Intercidades trains.

On Lisbon urban trains, you can travel on routes outside the metropolitan area (between Carregado and Azambuja).

On Porto Urban Trains, you can travel on routes outside the metropolitan area (between Vila das Aves/Guimarães; Paredes/Marco de Canaveses; Paramos/Aveiro and Lousado/Braga), and when your ticket is checked, you must present the corresponding proof of purchase to the ticket inspector.

On the Intercidades service, you must make a free seat booking at least 24 hours before your train starts its journey. If you board at an intermediate station, the reservation must correspond to the route you actually intend to take.

You can book at the online ticket office, the CP App, the CP ticket offices or the new ticket machines at stations in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.

Only one reservation is allowed per train/day.

If you do not book the Intercidades train, you will be considered a passenger without a ticket and will be subject to a fine.

This Pass is loaded onto the CP Card. If you do not have this card, you must get one.
