Festival of the Crosses

The first of the major Minho pilgrimages takes place from 30 April to 3 May in Barcelos.

This year, the Festival of the Crosses will feature three memorable evenings with concerts by Mariza, D.A.M.A. and Matias Damásio.

In addition to the concerts, there will be Bands in the Bandstand, RTP’s Aqui Portugal, Street Folklore, concerts by artists from Barcelos on the Barcelos Stage and Folklore Groups from Barcelos.

Don’t miss the traditional Minho-style festivals and the firework displays, as well as the traditional carpets of natural flowers.

Barcelos Station is less than 1 km from the town centre and the venues hosting the main events.

Take advantage of the increased capacity on trains on 1 and 3 May to travel in comfort. Avoid the hassle of traffic and parking.
