19th Douro Half Marathon

Join us on the world's most beautiful race.

The Douro Wine Region Half Marathon is back. One of the most eagerly awaited sporting events takes place on a flat course along the banks of the River Douro, starting at the Bagaúste Dam in Peso da Régua and winding its way through terraced vineyards designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

The event features three separate races:

Half Marathon, 21 km;
Mini Marathon, 5 km;
Wheelchair Half Marathon, 21 km with a maximum duration of three hours.

Travel by train to the Douro Valley, take part in the Douro Wine Region Half Marathon and enjoy our discounts.

Régua station is the closest to the event venue. There is a shuttle service from Régua to the Bagaúste Dam.

For athletes taking part in the timed race (21 km), there are special trains from Régua, departing at 7:00 a.m., 7:30 a.m., 8:00 a.m. and 8:36 a.m. for the Bagaúste Dam.

Intercidades

30% off return journeys to Porto between 23 May and 25 May, if you show the event ticket and a valid ID at the time of purchase and to the ticket inspector on the train.

These tickets are not valid in conjunction with other discounts or offers.

Passengers may change tickets for the period during which the discount is valid, and refunds are available in accordance with the conditions in force.

Regional and InterRegional

30% off return journeys between 23 May and 25 May, if you show the event ticket and a valid ID at the time of purchase and to the ticket inspector on the train.

Available from CP ticket offices or on the train when boarding at stations without a ticket office. Payment on board is by cash.
