Fundão Cherry Circuit

Start by discovering the charms of the Beira Baixa Line and finish in the cherry orchard.

At the foot of the beautiful Serra da Gardunha, there are the ideal conditions for growing cherries and we'll take you by train to Fundão to visit the cherry orchards.

08:15 - Departure from Lisbon Santa Apolónia Station on the Intercidades 541 train;

11:04 - Arrival at Castelo Branco Station:

  • Reception by guide;
  • Departure by bus with guide to Soalheira to visit a traditional cheese factory with tasting of cheeses and other regional products;
  • Continuation of the bus tour, with panoramic views of the Gardunha mountains and Cova da Beira.

13:30 - Arrival in Fundão for lunch;

15:30 - Visit to the cherry orchard(after bus trip):

  • Cherry picking and tasting. 1 kg of cherries offered and more available for purchase.
  • Return by bus to Fundão for a visit to the historic centre and free time until departure time.

19:25 - Board the Intercidades 544 train:

22:50 - Arrival at Lisbon Santa Apolónia Station.

  • Tickets for this train are only valid on the day they are issued for, from Castelo Branco to Fundão and back;
  • Tickets for the Cherry Route cannot be exchanged or refunded;
  • If CP cancels trips, customers will be refunded in full.
