There’s a new energy in the Algarve

With the completion of the electrification works, the Algarve line will offer direct journeys between Vila Real de Santo António and Lagos from 19 July 202, letting passengers complete their journeys without changing trains in Faro.

The use of electric rolling stock means greater comfort, and CP will also increase the frequency of the Regional service, particularly during peak hours.
