World Public Transport Day

17 April marks the first World Public Transport Day, an event promoted by the UITP – International Association of Public Transport, which CP is a member of.

“By providing multiple mobility options, public transport has the power to bring communities together and create healthier cities and happier people. It drives economic growth and ensures access to employment, education, culture, and many other needs and opportunities.

World Public Transport Day may only last 24 hours, but our sector and our passengers make millions of trips throughout the day, every day, and that is the commitment that public transport offers to urban life,” said Mohamed Mezghani, Secretary General of UITP.
