I'm going to Braga, what about you?

I am always happy to travel by train, I was born that way! Now, with these discounts, I'm setting off!

I'm going to Braga next week with my parents, we bought the tickets on the CP site so my Dad doesn't come up with any excuses. I could have done everything alone because it is so easy, but when it comes time to pay, well it's better if Dad does it.
We are going first thing in the morning to make the most of the day, which begins with a visit to the 900-year-old Braga cathedral that has so many stories to tell. And I am certainly not going to miss the Bom Jesus funicular railway in Parque do Bom Jesus do Monte.
Then, to keep Mum happy we are going to the 'Brasileira' café, because "Going to Braga and not having a coffee at the Brasileira, is like going to Rome and not seeing the Pope", she says.
Since I love nature as much as the train we are sure to go to the Jardim de Santa Bárbara. Miss Lucinda, who works there says it is the most beautiful garden in the world. She has appeared on TV and says she knows all the flowers. Miss Lucinda cares for the garden as if it was her house and as if each flower was unique in the world.
As I am still growing I am always thinking about food, when I heard about the “Frigideiras” I marked a trip there and then to “A Frigideira do Cantinho” which was founded in 1796, and it is one of the oldest in Braga. The frigideiras are puff pastry stuffed with minced meat and they are hand made – that has just made me feel hungry.
Then I'll be ready to go up to Bom Jesus de Braga, I've seen a photograph of it and is is impressive.
On the way to the station we are going to get lots of sweets for the journey back and I'll take my tablet to prepare my next adventure.
