CP - Comboios de Portugal announces dates of 2023 historical Douro steam train outings 2023

CP - Comboios de Portugal, in partnership with the municipalities of Peso da Régua, Alijó and Carrazeda de Ansiães, is pleased to announce the new season of the Douro historical train starting on 8 July. This year, the emblematic Douro train will run many more trips, allowing more people to enjoy the region's unique beauty.

The complete schedule for the new season will be revealed in a press conference at the Douro Museum, in Peso da Régua, on 8 July at 11.30 a.m. This conference will be attended by the President of CP - Comboios de Portugal along with the mayors of Peso da Régua, Alijó and Carrazeda de Ansiães. Right after the conference, we are pleased to invite journalists for lunch and, afterwards, to embark on the inaugural journey of this season's Douro historical train.

The new season of the Douro historical train reinforces the enhancement and promotion of the Douro region and its historical and cultural heritage, contributing to tourism and local economic development.
