Aguda Coastal Station
The Estação Litoral da Aguda (Aguda Coastal Station) is a space dedicated to local marine plants and animals, related with artisan fishing.
The building has three sections:
- Fishing Museum – focussing on the equipment and the traditional art of artisan fishing down over the years, memories of fishermen and the people's daily lives, including a scale model of the Aguda beach fleet in the 1980s;
- Aquarium – has 15 tanks holding between 1,200 and 6,700 litres, inhabited by more than 1,000 individuals from 60 species that represent the aquatic life that is characteristic of Aguda beach;
- Education and Research Department in the fields of marine ecology and biology, fish farming and fishing.
The Estação Litoral da Aguda is beside Aguda beach (Vila Nova de Gaia), about 5 minutes on foot from Aguda train stop so the use of the Oporto urban trains is recommended for this visit.

- We offer special conditions for group travel.
- Return trip from any Oporto urban train station to Aguda: €2.00, for each member of the group;
- Unguided visit, guided visit or Estação Litoral da Aguda programme;
- Offer of one free return journey and visit or activity for an adult for every 10 minors in the group;
- Product available for groups of 15 to 50 ;
- The journeys can be made working days (except between 7:00 and 9:30 and between 17:00 and 19:00) or on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays at any time;
- Journeys must be booked in advance with the CP Porto group service;
