Union agreement ends strikes

After intensive negotiations last week, CP has agreed with the train drivers' union(SMAQ), ending a series of strikes affecting the railway sector. This consensus was reached with the help of the infrastructure ministry, which mediated the talks between the parties.

The agreement results from a joint effort between CP's management and SMAQ, demonstrating both parties' will to resolve the labour conflict and ensure the continuity of services to passengers.

CP thanks SMAQ for its commitment to the negotiations, which allowed an understanding satisfactory to both parties and in the interest of workers and the company.

CP's management is committed to the well-being of workers and the quality of services provided. This agreement strengthens the relationship with workers' representative organisations, reinforcing social dialogue and mutual collaboration.

This agreement bolsters CP's commitment to its workers and the Portuguese population, contributing to the stability and continuous improvement of the railway sector in Portugal.
