In 2018 - CP’s Online Sales increased 29%

In 2018, the online ticket office and the mobile app of CP were used by around 2.4 million passengers, corresponding to a revenue amounting to 41 million euros, showing a growth, over the previous year, of 29% and 24%, respectively.

In comparison with the previous year – by sales channel – the online ticket office registered an increase of 21% in passengers and 17% in revenue, while the CPapp, available since September 2016, registered an increase of 108% and 96% in each indicator.

Confirming the trend previously observed, the Alfa Pendular and Intercidades customers were the passengers who purchased the largest number of journeys from the CP's digital channels, which translated into 33% of the total number of passengers using these services and 38% of total revenue.

The purchase seasonality was similar to the previous years, with July registering the largest number of purchased journeys.
