Bar, cafe service on AP, IC trains resumed. Workers get back wages

The Alfa Pendular and Intercidades trains bar and cafeteria service has been available again since 4 May. CP and Newrail, the new service provider responsible for this area, have signed a contract to provide this catering service.

All former workers were integrated into the new service provider, ensuring job continuity and maintaining employees' labour rights.

Although the contract provided for paying wages in arrears in two instalments, Newrail told CP that it made a bank transfer with the full payment of all wages in arrears today due to non-payment by the previous company. This action demonstrates Newrail's commitment and responsibility towards its employees.

CP welcomes this solution, which shows Newrail's commitment to ensuring the well-being of workers and the quality of services provided to passengers. CP has always been concerned that workers receive the compensation due to them, and this measure meets that objective.

Passengers on Alfa Pendular and Intercidades trains can now enjoy the cafeteria and bar services on these trains once again, enjoying quality, comfortable service during their journeys.
