Refunds and Revalidations

CP informs you that taking into account the evolution of the pandemic, as well as the legal constraints to circulation that in some cases are associated with it, as part of our customer care policy, we have changed the conditions for refunds and revalidations of occasional tickets.

Thus, occasional Alfa Pendular, Intercidades, InterRegional, Regional, Tourist and Celta tickets may be reimbursed or revalidated, free of charge, up to 30 minutes prior to the departure of the train from the Customer's station of origin.

For tickets with a Promo fare this change applies to tickets purchased from November 13, 2020.

A refund request may be made:

  • At CP Ticket Offices
  • At cp.pt, in the “Your tickets” area (for tickets purchased at the CP Online Ticket Office and CP App)
  • In cp.pt, by filling in the online form with the scan of the original ticket and indicating Name, Postal Address, IBAN and Taxpayer number.

Due to suppression of trains, reimbursement or revalidation free of charge is allowed if submitted up to 10 days after the day of the original journey. The refund request can be made at the ticket office or through the online form with the scan of the original ticket and invoice and the indication of Name, Postal Address, IBAN and NIF.
