Journeys can be altered to a different day or a different train at any CP station or online if you bought your tickets from the Online Ticket Office or App CP.
You can only change the ticket once per journey (keeping the same origin and destination):
* When the station that issued the ticket and the destination station are the same, reissue requests will only be accepted if the train has not yet arrived at its destination.
Reissue from the online ticket office up to 30 minutes after the transaction: in the 30 minutes after the transaction (if there are more than 30 minutes before the train starts its journey) passengers can alter the entire journey online, through the Online ticket office reissue.
If the reissued ticket is not the same price as the original one, the difference is given back or charged by CP at the ticket offices except in the following cases:
Promo tickets can be reissued.
Cut-price TrainSharing tickets cannot be reissued.
If you want to reissue your ticket at a CP ticket office or Travel Agency you need the printed ticket and an ID card. Digital tickets and SMS are not accepted.

Passengers can ask for their tickets to be reissued for another train of the same category or higher :
If the reissue is for reasons attributable to CP, the passenger will only pay the difference of changing category.
Tickets can only be reissued once and up until 15 minutes after the departure time indicated on them.

Reissue requests (alteration of travel date or class), are accepted for tickets issued by CP, by RENFE ticket offices (only those paid in cash) and tickets issued by other rail companies so long as the request is made until 5 minutes before the train leaves.
Tickets are reissued for free, except Promo + ticket, which are subject to a 20% discount.
Promo cannot be reissued.
