FAQ - New Post Sales Conditions

Main changes to after sales conditions - 1 March 2023:

To simplify rules and standardise after-sales service across all CP services

The new conditions apply from 1 March 2023.

Yes, there is no limit to the number of exchanges you can make, for tickets of the Alfa Pendular, Intercidades, InterRegional and Regional services, within 120 days after the date of purchase.

The request can be made in the same channel of the purchase or at any CP ticket office up to 15 minutes before the departure of the train from the station of origin inscribed on the ticket.

If the new ticket is of a higher value, you will have to pay the difference. If it is lower, you will be refunded the difference.

In the case of a return ticket, the return must maintain the conditions and rules of the original ticket.

It is possible to make a refund request for tickets purchased on CP sales channels (CP website or APP or CP ticket offices), for Alfa Pendular, Intercidades, InterRegional and Regional services, up to 15 minutes before the departure of the train from the station of origin indicated on the ticket.

The request must be made in the same channel of the purchase or at any ticket office. You will be refunded the full amount paid.

After the 15-minute deadline, before the departure of the train from the station of origin indicated on the ticket, requests for refunds or exchanges of tickets for Alfa Pendular, Intercidades, InterRegional and Regional services will not be accepted.

In ticket exchanges for Alfa Pendular, Intercidades, InterRegional and Regional services, for lower price, the customer receives the difference. For higher price tickets, the customer pays the difference.

Tickets for urban services in Porto, Lisbon and Coimbra are non-refundable.
