Nova Era Best of the Year

Take the train to Exponor on 14 April.

This is going to be the 21st edition of the Best of the Year by Nova Era Radio and it is going to attract some of the top names in Portuguese and international music for a 10-hour event.

This year the biggest alteration is the venue as in 2018 it is going to be held in Exponor, following the closure of the Rosa Mota *Pavilion for refurbishing works.  

The confirmed performers already include Vini Vici, Third Party, Karetus, Kevu, Átoa, Bispo, Calema, Carolina Deslandes, Club Banditz, Diogo Piçarra, Domi, Grognation, Jimmy P, Mundo Segundo, Piruka, Profjam, Valas E Wet Bed Gang.

Porto Campanhã station is 15 km from Exponor.


  • Metro from Porto Campanhã, line A towards Senhor de Matosinhos, journey time 37 minutes with trains every 20 minutes; Bus 507 to Exponor, journey time 15 minutes.
  • From Porto S. Bento on foot to Cordoaria, an 8-minute walk; Bus 601 to Exponor, journey time 37 minutes.

Intercidades, Regional, InterRegional

  • 30% off return journeys on Intercidades, Regional or InterRegional train tickets to Porto on the day of the event and returning the next day;
  • These tickets can be refunded and reissued only for the validity period.

Porto urban trains  

  • Special €2 return ticket on 14 April, for journeys from any Porto urban trains station to Porto.

You have to show proof you are going to the event when you buy the ticket and then on board the train to the ticket inspector.

These tickets cannot be refunded and cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts or special offers.

Intercidades, Regional and InterRegional

Available from the Online ticket officee, the CP ticket offices, the CP App and other sales points or on board the train if you cannot buy a ticket at the station where you got on. All ticket payments on board the train must be made in cash or with a CPmais card.

The 30% discount is only available from CP ticket offices or on board the train.

Porto urban trains

You can get your special €2 return ticket from the CP ticket offices and ticket vending machines as of 9 April or on board the train if you cannot buy a ticket at the station where you got on. All ticket payments on board the train must be made in cash.

You have to have a Siga card without any journeys on it or a Siga Assinatura card to buy this ticket. If you do not have a card, you can always buy one for an extra €0.50.

Always remember to validate your ticket before boarding the train.

If you are coming down from Braga or Oporto – Campanhã, you can get special rates at the station car parks.

If you travel on the Oporto urban trains, you can use its large range of free car parks and there are special rates at the paid parks.
