Starting 9 February, come and discover the Leixões Line, between Porto-Campanhã and Leça do Balio stations, and travel more safely, comfortably and quickly.
This rail service, connects the south, east and north of the city of Porto and encourages modal complementarity by integrating the various means of public transport - train, metro and bus.It offers direct trains between the Aveiro Line and the Leixões Line.
São Gemil, Hospital de São João, São Mamede Infesta, Arroteia and Leça do Balio stations are at your disposal.
The Leixões Line means Porto urban trains now operate five lines as it joins the Braga, Guimarães, Marco de Canaveses and Aveiro lines. Contumil Station connects with the Braga, Guimarães and Marco de Canaveses urban lines, while Porto-Campanhã Station connects with the Aveiro, Porto-São urban line, Porto São Bento station and CP's Regional and Long Distance services - Alfa Pendular and Intercidades.

The new service on the Leixões Line offers 60 trains on weekdays, 30 each way, with 2 trains an hour each way during the morning and afternoon rush hours. On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, there are 34 trains, 17 each way.
There are direct trains between Ovar and Leça do Balio, with no need to change trains at Porto Campanhã, and trains between Porto Campanhã and Leça do Balio.

Passengers can use CP tickets and passes e Andant tickets and passes on the Leixões line.

The Leixões line is part of the Porto Metropolitan Area, so the Green Rail Pass is not valid on this line.
The Green Rail Pass lets you travel on the Porto urban trains on routes outside the metropolitan area (Lousado/Braga, Vila das Aves/Guimarães, Paredes/Marco de Canaveses and Paramos/Aveiro).
On direct urban trains between Ovar and Leça do Balio, the Green Rail Pass is only accepted on the Ovar/Paramos route.
The new service on the Leixões line stops at Contumil, São Gemil, Hospital de São João, São Mamede de Infesta, Arroteia and Leça do Balio.
The new timetables include trains from Ovar and Porto Campanhã to Leça do Balio.
The new São João Hospital stop is just 300 metres from the Hospital Centre, about a 5-minute walk.
