Half Marathon 'Cidade de Ovar'

On October 13, go to Ovar by train.

This competitive race is open to federated and amateur athletes of both genders.

The 21-km route – mostly on flat terrain – will take place between the City, the Forest, the Sea and the River, including: the 19th non-competitive Walk ‘Cidade de Ovar’, with 8.2 km; the 24th Mini Marathon “Run for your Life, Not for Drugs”, aimed at all youngsters between 9 and 16 years old, with 1.5 km; and the 3rd 'Azulejo' Race with 10 km.

We recommend the Ovar Station, which is a 210-metre walk from the starting point.

Regional and InterRegional

  • 30% off return journeys to be taken between October 12 and 14, on Regional and InterRegional trains to Ovar.
  • Refunded and reissued only for the period during which the discount is valid.

Oporto Urban Trains

  • Special €2 return ticket on October 13, valid for journeys on the Oporto Urban Trains from any station to Ovar.
  • This ticket cannot be refunded nor reissued.

The proof that you are entitled to the discounts is shown at the time you buy the train ticket and on board, during the inspection, upon presenting the proof of registration and the personal identification document. If customers fail to present the abovementioned documents, they will be considered passengers without ticket and shall be subject to the penalties provided for by the Law.

The abovementioned discounts cannot be used together with other discounts or special offers in force.

Regional and InterRegional

Available from the CP ticket offices and other sales points, or on board if the departure station does not have an available ticket office. The payment on board can only be made in cash or with the CPmais card. The 30% discount is only available from the CP ticket offices or on board when ticket offices are not available.

Oporto Urban Trains

The special €2 ticket is available from the CP ticket offices and Ticket Vending Machines from October 9, or on board on the day itself if none of the aforementioned sales points are available at the departure site. The payment on board can only be made in cash.

To travel on the Oporto Urban Trains, you just need a Siga card, without journeys, or a Pass card. If you do not have a Siga card, you can buy one for an additional cost of €0.50.

Before boarding the train, you must always validate your ticket.

If you are coming from Lisboa Oriente, you can get special rates at the station car park.

If you travel on the Oporto Urban Trains, you can use a large range of free car parks and we offer you special rates at the paid parks.
