European Mobility Week

Within the scope of the European Car-Free Day and the European Mobility Week, which takes place from September 16 to 22, we will launch a special €2 return ticket for the September 22, to everyone who travel on the Lisbon, Oporto and Coimbra urban trains.

You can buy the €2 ticket from the ticket vending machines on September 22. You just need an available Viva Viagem card or buy one for €0.50.

Before boarding the train, you must always validate your ticket in the equipment for that purpose located at the stations (card readers or access control doors).

September 15 – Car-Free Marginal, organised by the Oeiras City Council - from 10h00 to 13h00 - at Avenida Marginal, between Caxias and Praia da Torre in Oeiras. Benefit from the €2 return ticket in the Cascais Line on the day of the event. You can attend numerous activities – health, physical activity, environment and mobility.

September 22 - Bicla Fest/Lisboa Ciclável, organised by the Portuguese Federation of Cycle Tourism and Bicycle Users. The event starts at 10h00 at Terreiro do Paço.

September 22 – 12nd Environment Ride, organised by the Vila Franca de Xira City Council – ride a bike between Vila Franca de Xira (Multipurpose Pavilion) and Póvoa de Santa Iria (‘Moinhos da Póvoa’ Riverside Park) - about 14 km - to raise awareness of good environmental, sustainable and healthy practices, such as the use of alternative modes of transport.

September 29 - 'The street is yours', on the theme Sustainable Mobility, organised by the Lisbon City Council, taking place at Av. da Liberdade near Rossio Station. The event includes family activities, test driving, street food, a bio market, handicraft fair, street entertainment, inflatables, concerts, traditional games, among other surprises.

You can buy the €2 ticket on September 22 from the ticket officesticket vending machines or on board, when the departure site does not have an available ticket office. To load onto the ticket you just need a Siga card, without journeys, or buy one for €0.50.
