Eça de Queiroz Museum
Learn about the life and works of one of the greatest authors in Portuguese literature in a visit to the Eça de Queiroz museum.
In order to promote and perpetuate the memory of this great writer, the Eça de Queiroz Foundation organises guided tours of the museum and various activities to publicise his works such as conferences and workshops for all ages but focussed especially on schools.
Come by train to Casa de Tormes (the Foundation's headquarters), protect nature and relive the romance of Eça de Queiroz "A cidade e as Serras" (The city and the hills), that talks of the train as the means of transport that was used. Get off at Arêgos station and follow the route described between the station and the 'Casa'. CP customers get €0.50 off museum admission if they show a regional train ticket to Arêgos.
