From June 29 to October 12, the CP’s Vouga Historical Train will run every Saturday, between Aveiro and Macinhata do Vouga, composed of a narrow-gauge diesel locomotive and three wooden carriages from the early 20th century.
The train departs from the Aveiro Station at 13:40 towards Macinhata do Vouga, where Customers can visit the Museum Centre, taste and buy regional products.
On the way back, the train departs at 16:25, stopping in Águeda – for about 1 hour – to explore the historic centre of the city.
The entertainment on board includes a music group and the performance of traditional songs, where passengers can also taste the famous pastry ‘Pastéis de Águeda’.
The journey can be bought from the online ticket office for 30 euros for adults and 16.5 euros for children, from 4 to 12 years old.
When buying – from a CP ticket office – a ticket to the Douro Historical Train together with a ticket to the Vouga Historical Train, Customers can benefit from a 25% discount.
Special prices for the connections of the Vouga Historical Train, from and to the Aveiro Station, are still available.
