Historical Train returns to the Vouga Line with a reinforced composition - April 24 and 25

On April 24 and 25, the Historical Train will circulate again between Aveiro and Macinhata do Vouga, on the only operational narrow-gauge line, the Vouga Line.

The composition pulled by the steam locomotive E214, built by the German house Henschel & Sohn, besides the four historical carriages dated from 1908, 1913, 1925 and 1930 will incorporate a new historical carriage, built in 1908 in Barreiro and recently restored, for the tourist service of the narrow gauge track.

After departing from Aveiro at 13h35, the train will run to Macinhata do Vouga, making a 10-minute stop at Águeda station, for customers who wish to make the journey from that station.

In Macinhata do Vouga, the purchase of regional products and the entertainment of a singing group, in the station square, are part of the programme offered to the participants.

The return journey will depart from Macinhata do Vouga at 16h33, with a 40-minute stop in Águeda.

The journey can be purchased at CP ticket offices, online ticket office or in transit, for 30.00 euros for adults and 16.50 euros for children, aged 4 to 12 years.
