4 469 passengers have travelled in the first three months of CP’s Historical Trains campaign of 2019, corresponding to an overall increase of 15% in demand in 2018.
3 490 customers have travelled in the Douro Historical Train between June 1 and August 31, in a total of 15 travels, corresponding to an increase of 13% compared to the same period of the previous year.
However, Vouga Historical Train began to run on June 29 and was the choice of 979 customers, an increase of 25% on the same period of 2018.
In Douro, the steam locomotive and the five historical carriages will run on Saturdays - until October 26 – departing from Régua at 15h23 towards Tua. The programme includes a stop at Pinhão, to visit a Wine House, entertainment on board and purchase of regional products.
In Vouga, the Historical Train runs until October 12. On Saturdays, the train departs from Aveiro station at 13h40 headed to Macinhata do Vouga. The visit to Núcleo Museológico, the purchase of regional products and, on the way back, one hour stop to visit the historical centre of Águeda are attractions to the programme.
The price for adults varies between 42.5 euros in Douro Line and 30 euros in Vouga Line, and between 19 and 16.5 euros for children, respectively.
At a CP ticket office, the joint purchase of journeys to the Douro and Vouga Historical Trains benefits from a 25% off. Customers who choose to travel on the Vouga Historical Train, also benefit from special prices - for connecting journeys - from and to Aveiro station.
