Termination of contract with Apeadeiro 2020 and launch of Consultation for the provision of cafeteria and bar services on board Alfa Pendular and Intercidades trains

CP - Comboios de Portugal has terminated the contract to provide cafeteria and bar services on Alfa Pendular and Intercidades trains with Apeadeiro 2020.

Following this, CP went ahead with a Consultation today, inviting various entities to submit proposals and sign a new contract to provide these services.

To protect the workers' rights of the previous concessionaire, the specifications of this Consultation provides, without prejudice to the applicable legal or contractual regime and any right of recourse, that the new contractor pays the respective workers any labour credits accrued and unpaid by Apeadeiro 2020.

CP hopes that, within two to three weeks, the cafeteria and bar service on Alfa Pendular and Intercidades trains will be resumed, and the labour situation of the workers involved will be settled.
