On the Saturdays of March 16 and 23, CP – Comboios de Portugal will run once again the Almond Trees Circuit, the trip in which you will be able to admire the flowering almond trees of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro and get to know some cultural and culinary aspects of Beira Alta and Alto Douro.
This year, due to a change of the route, the train will, exceptionally, leave from Oporto Campanhã at 7h00 arriving to Celorico da Beira at 9h53. The trip will continue, from this station, by one of the following road journeys of your choice:
CIRCUIT A: Celorico da Beira, Museu do Côa (guided tour), Vila Nova de Foz Côa (lunch break), Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo (free time), Castelo Rodrigo (free time), Miradouro da Serra da Marofa (panoramic view), Almeida (free time), Vila Franca das Naves.
CIRCUIT B: Celorico da Beira, Trancoso (free time), Meda (lunch break), Marialva (guided tour), Museu do Côa (guided tour), Foz Côa (free time), Celorico da Beira.
On the way back, the special train will departure from the station of Vila Franca das Naves at 19h43 and will arrive at Oporto Campanhã at 23h00.
The price for adults ranges from 44 euros in 1st class and 39 euros in 2nd class and the price for children ranges from 25 euros to 22 euros, regardless of the Circuit chosen.
