World Book Day - Reading on Rails

CP - Comboios de Portugal and Universidade da Beira Interior join forces on Intercidades trains

Friday, 21 April, was World Book Day, and the University of Beira Interior (UBI) library decided to commemorate the event by providing books to the passengers on the Beira Baixa Intercidades train.

"Reading on Rails" was carried out with CP - Comboios de Portugal to encourage reading and the taste for books.

Around one hundred books donated by individuals, Bertrand Publishing House and Pingo Doce, who also wanted to join the cause, were made provided on the 7:53 Intercidades train from Covilhã to Lisbon, and the Lisbon / Covilhã trip, departing at 13:15.
