CP donates furniture

As part of its Social Responsibility policy, CP - Comboios de Portugal recently donated bathroom fittings to the Portuguese Refugee Centre (CPR). This idea arose from the existence of unused materials in stock, transforming them into support for improving the centre's facilities.

With this gesture, CP reaffirms its commitment to the community and to social causes of great national importance. The donation includes essential materials for improving the CPR's facilities, which provides daily assistance to hundreds of people in vulnerable situations.

In recognition, the Portuguese Refugee Centre expressed its gratitude in a message, highlighting the importance of this support.

"On behalf of CPR we would like to express our deepest gratitude for your generous donation. This gesture of solidarity has a significant impact on our daily work with the asylum seekers and refugees we welcome, offering them decent living conditions and comfort in their integration process. Every one of these people arrives in our country after a long physical and emotional journey, and your contribution represents more than simple utensils: it humanises the space, making it more of a home, allowing people to find a safe harbour where they can start again."
