The historic steam train will be back in the Douro valley in 2010!

If you haven't yet been on the Douro Valley Steam Train, put it in your diary for this year between 5 June and 9 October 2010.

Entertainment and gifts aboard

CP and Quinta Nova Nossa Sr.ª do Carmo have a special offer for all passangers: a glass of Port Wine and a slice of delicious meat cake accompanied by the live entertainment of local musicians and singers.

 

A visit to the Wine House at Pinhão

We make a halt at Pinhão where you can visit the Wine House and have a look at one of the most beautiful sets of glazed tiles in the country.

Times, prices, tickets and bookings

Horários

Prices per person:

  • Adult ticket (return): €43.00
  • Child ticket - 5 to 12 years of age (return): €21.50

Tickets for the steam train are on sale from CP stations, cp.pt, CP Call Center, Douro Tourist Operators and selected travel agencies. Tickets can be bought up to 30 days prior to the journey.

CP reserves the right to replace the steam engine with a diesel locomotive whenever weather conditions and the risk of line-side fires so demand.
