The trains stop in the stations at the same minute every hour to make them more practical and easier to remember. The trains are organized in "families" that tell you where they are coming from and going to.

The timetables are designed to make it easy to travel over the whole network (Sintra, Cascais and Azambuja), with change-overs at Sete Rios, Entrecampos, Roma – Areeiro, Oriente and Alcântara Terra.
