Departure
The journey along the Douro line lets you appreciate the beautiful Douro valley wine region, the vine terraces and the wine producing farms. You can have breakfast in the dining car during the journey.
Arrival in Régua
When you get to Régua there is a bus service that takes you to Quinta de Campanhã, where there is a series of activities:
- Local singers and musicians
- Port wine tasting (or fruit juice)
- Guided tour of the wine cellars and the production area
- Regional lunch
- Entertainment with local singers and dancersv
Afternoon
You can take part in the grape treading where the grapes are trodden in granite presses while the treaders sing and dance to celebrate the end of the wine year.
Proper clothing is advisable, shorts and sandals.
Return
Dinner is available on board (fish or meat) for everyone who booked their meal beforehand at the ticket office when they bought their train ticket. Meals are paid for on board the train.
